Healgen COVID-19 Antigen Test

The Healgen COVID-19 Antigen Test is one of only three UK government-approved rapid antigen tests. It is in high demand from schools, councils and businesses. This test is being rolled out by the UK government to mass test the population in Liverpool and other cities.

This test is designed for use by clinical professionals, such as doctors, practice nurses, and occupational health nurses.

COVID-19 is an acute respiratory infectious disease caused by a novel coronavirus. People are generally susceptible to the virus. Currently, the main source of infection is people who are infected with the virus, even if they do not have symptoms.

Instructions for use

The Healgen COVID-19 Antigen Test is an in vitro immunochromatographic assay for the qualitative detection of nucleocapsid protein antigen from SARS-CoV-2 in nasopharyngeal swab specimens. The test is intended to aid in the rapid diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 infections.

To use the test, follow the instructions provided in the kit. The test results can be interpreted within 15 minutes.

Important information

The Healgen COVID-19 Antigen Test is not intended to be used as a stand-alone test for the diagnosis of COVID-19. A positive result indicates the presence of viral antigens, but clinical correlation with the patient's history and other diagnostic information is necessary to determine the diagnosis of COVID-19.

A negative result does not rule out COVID-19 infection. If you have symptoms of COVID-19, please isolate yourself and contact your healthcare provider for further testing.
